London Brookes College is a trusted test centre for the Oriental Languages Aptitude Test (OLAT). If you are applying to study Hebrew, Persian, Turkish, Arabic or Jewish Studies as part of one of the following courses you will be required to sit the Oriental Languages Aptitude Test (OLAT): Oriental Studies, Classics and Oriental Studies (Oriental Studies with Classics), European and Middle Eastern Languages, Religion and Oriental Studies.
The Oriental Languages Aptitude Test (OLAT) is a paper-based test, lasting 30 minutes and sat under timed exam conditions. The Oriental Languages Aptitude Test (OLAT) is designed to assess your ability to analyse how languages work, in a way which doesn’t depend on your knowledge of any particular language. Instead the test is looking to gauge your aptitude for learning a new language rapidly.
