One Year Intensive A Level Courses

One Year Intensive A level courses will be a good option for your child they are disappointed with their A Level results and want to improve their grades in the shortest time possible. Whilst this can be challenging, our academic staff are well equipped to help your child achieve the best grades possible at A levels. In this course they will cover the whole syllabus of a subject over a one year period rather than two. If you have taken all, or part, of a A level course at another institution, you can continue your studies with us to complete the course. Please speak to the Admissions Officer for more details

Lots of teaching time means that you may complete the syllabus in a relaxed and confident manner, with plenty of time for engagement and structured, supervised work in class. Specialist courses: London Brookes College has 20 years of experience in delivering highly successful A Level retake and one-year courses. A fresh, more grown-up approach to education Exam practice: Our focus on examination preparation is simple, effective and transformational. Through Mock exams and tests students learn key exam skills such as time management and how to work under pressure. Individual attention, communication and feedback. A level retakes available for students wishing to retake their a levels. A level retakes are best suited to students that have already taken all, or part, of the examination but been disappointed in their grades. If this is the case then A level retakes option may be the best option for you.Many students find it helpful to cover both courses simultaneously by enrolling on our One Year Intensive A levels course as it enables them to apply A/S skills which are fresh in their minds, rather than trying to remember material that they learnt a year before. It is possible to study for an intensive A level in a subject that is completely new to you; this is, however, very hard to do unless you are exceptionally committed.Normally we recommend that students who want to achieve the highest grades enrol onto our two year course of study. However students that we consider to be hard working and dedicated, places are offered onto the A level retakes course where our teaching and learning expertise equip to achieve their full potential

Two Year A Level Courses

Our 2 year A level course is well designed with a balanced approach to Education. In the first year, your child will be taught the AS level that has focuses more on strengthening the foundations of the subjects (typically 4 subjects). In the second year of A levels, your child will be given more in-depth knowledge of their chosen subjects (typically 3). In addition, during the 2nd year of the A levels course, we will help your child choose the right degree course at university and ensure that their UCAS application is well researched and carefully completed. If your child is applying for medicine or Oxford and Cambridge then they will be given extra support.We also provide a wide ranging enrichment and extracurricular programme. This includes a range of activities including but not limited to charity fundraising, debating society, football, frequent visits to theatres, art galleries and exhibitions, and a variety of inspirational visiting speakers.
